What’s in CCF Tea?

CCF tea is an acronym that’s simple to remember when you know the ingredients of the tea. Coriander. Cumin and fennel are combined to create a nutty, earthy blend of spices. It is somewhat similar to the blend used in Mother’s Milk tea.

The tea is a golden color and tastes different than anything you might have ever tried. It’s been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. To better understand the purpose of CCF tea, let’s look at the ingredients individually.

Cumin

One other complaint seen scattered among CCF tea reviews was that the tea caused a strange odor to sweat. Those people switched to antiperspirant during the day and had no further problems.

But those who used the tea for a while had remarkable results. One man used the tea for two months and, without dietary changes, said he’d lost 15 pounds.

CCF Tea Recipe

There are manufacturers that sell CCF tea pre-blended. But, as there are only three ingredients, it’s actually quite simple to make on your own.

You can find the ingredients at your local grocery store. But feel free to venture off to your nearest Indian food store. There are usually very small stores that are packed with the most wonderful smelling fresh spices, breads and other items.

To make the tea, you’ll need fennel, cumin and coriander in equal parts. If you have a coffee grinder, take the seeds and gently grind them into a coarse blend – there’s no need to pulverize them.

If you don’t have a coffee grinder, you can use a mortar and pestle. Remember that the scent of the herbs is strong, so it’s best to use a marble mortar as wood will absorb the oils from the seeds. The smell will be difficult to get out.

Once your seeds are ground, scoop ¾ teaspoon of the mixture into a tea cup. Pour about 6 ounces of near-boiling water over them, and allow your CCF tea to steep for five minutes.

For added flavor, you can add honey, lemon or lime to your CCF tea.
